Underfoot Feel
The high-stacked midsole - made with ZipFoam™ - delivers a plush and protective feel. It also features a rocker geometry to smooth out transitions. A perfect combination for long-distance trail runs.
A wide heel design ensures the high-stacked midsole feels stable on technical terrain. The midsole foam also rises up at the rearfoot to increase support.
Topo Athletic's FKT insole - made from TPU beads - offers great step-in comfort. The closed-cell foam also means it doesn't absorb as much water - allowing the shoe to drain and dry very quickly.
As mentioned, the Vibram® Megagrip - with 4 mm lugs - offers lots of traction and slip-resistance on technical trails.
Upper Fit
Like all Topo Athletic Running Shoes, the Vista Trail Running Shoes have a roomy toe box design. Meaning there's lots of room for your toes to splay.
The midfoot and heel-counter offer a secure and supportive fit. Which is particularly important in a higher-stacked model.
Finally, a double-tongue stay ensures the tongue remains securely in place.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
