The brand new Brooks Ghost Max running shoes have a number of unique design features that set them apart from other Brooks models. Contrary to what the name implies, the Ghost Max should not be seen as simply a more 'max' cushioned version of the ever-popular Brooks Ghost. Apart from the fact that they both share Brooks’ DNA LOFT v2 cushioning, the shoes are very different. The Ghost Max have a thicker and higher stacked midsole, and a much lower drop (6mm) than the Ghost 15. To allow the GlideRoll rocker technology to work. The Ghost Max has a broad base, which offers inherent stability for a secure feel. All this combined, the Brooks Ghost Max should be stable neutral running shoes that help you to transition through your gait cycle with ease. They are likely to be best suited to slower runs and easy days. And they should feel particularly helpful and forgiving if you have tight calf muscles and/or restricted movement at the ankle joint. It's worth noting the broad base and unique liner last mean the Ghost Max is ideal for insoles and orthotics.
