At Run4It, lots of runners visit us looking for highly durable trail running shoes that they can use everyday. The NNormal Tomir trail running shoes are designed to fit this brief. We expect it will be one of the most hard wearing trail running shoes you’ve ever tried. In comparison to the Kjerag trail running shoes, the Tomir has a thicker midsole, bigger lugs and a more accommodating upper. In order to ensure you feel comfortable running everyday in the Tomir trail running shoes, it features a thick EVA midsole. The 31mm to 23mm thick EVA midsole should feel protective and responsive. Whether you’re running 5k, a trail marathon, or an ultra distance event, the cushioning should feel great. It’s not made overly soft so that you feel stable on uneven terrain. One of the Tomir’s most important attributes is how durable they are. If you look at the sides of the shoes, you’ll notice a stitch line. The upper is stitched to the midsole as this makes them more durable and prevents delamination. Furthermore, the monofilament polyester and TPE fabric is very resistant to abrasion and snagging. It shouldn’t split at the sides either, like some trail running shoes can. It doesn’t stop there, the Vibram Megagrip with Litebase outsole is one of the most durable outsole rubbers available. The 5mm lugs deliver excellent traction on loose terrain, mud and soft ground. However, this highly sticky rubber grips to both wet and dry rock. Ensuring you can cover a wide array of surfaces. If you’re wondering about how the Tomir fits, it should feel accommodating and spacious in the toe box. As it’s designed for everyday runs, this improves the comfort for day to day use. It’s also a great feature if your feet swell over the course of a longer event, such as an ultra distance run. Asymmetrical lacing increases support and reduces pressure points. We suggest opting for the NNormal Tomir if you’re searching for trail running shoes that can cope with pretty much anything. Many runners will find the Tomir works very well as door-to-trail running shoes. Although, should you be looking for something lighter and more performance based, you may want to consider the Kjerag trail running shoes. Both the Tomir and Kjerag are incredibly durable, but the Kjerag is designed to help you run faster.
