Advice for Road Runners: The adidas Men's Supernova Rise Running Shoes are designed to provide one main outcome for you, the runner: comfort.
The Supernova Rise are the first shoes in the redeveloped Supernova franchise. They are shoes that have been developed with the goal of making your everyday training runs more comfortable.
The Supernova Rise features a new midsole foam: Dreamstrike+. The design of Dreamstrike+ was inspired by Lightstrike Pro - which can be found in some of adidas' ADIZERO racing shoes. However, Dreamstrike+ should offer increased comfort and cushioning. The entirety of the midsole consists of Dreamstrike+.
Even in neutral road running shoes - which these are - it is important that your feet are supported. A support rod system is embedded in the outsole and is designed to replicate the tendons in your feet. In short, this support system should not provide intrusive support; it should just help to provide a stable platform to run on.
In keeping with the midsole and outsole design, the upper should provide a lot of comfort too. The material is designed to be soft and secure, with a plush heel collar. Exactly what you need when completing your regular training runs.
The adidas Men's Supernova Rise Running Shoes are for your regular low to moderate intensity training runs. For the avoidance of any doubt, these are not designed to be racing shoes or shoes that are suitable for fast intervals and tempo sessions. Their purpose is to provide comfort during easy to steady-paced road runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
