Advice for Road Runners: The ASICS Men's GT-2000 11 in the Black/Glow Yellow colourway are soft and supportive stability running shoes. They feel great at slower to steady paces and over long distances.
The majority of the ASICS GT-2000 11 midsole features FF BLAST FOAM. This soft and energetic cushioning feels protective and padded under your feet. The images show the visible ASICS GEL in the heel. This reduces the impact of landing, particularly for prominent heel strikers. There's also GEL in the forefoot for even more cushioning.
As the GT-2000 11 are stability running shoes, they feature added support. This comes in the form of LITETRUSS support. To explain further, a firm piece of foam and plastic structure sit under the arch of each foot. While this firm section of the midsole reduces excess pronation, it also feels smooth and natural.
The upper of the ASICS GT-2000 11 features Adaptive Fit. For clarity, this means the breathable mesh upper adjusts to your foot's natural shape. In our experience, the GT-2000 11 feels spacious in the toe box, yet supportive around the midfoot and ankle.
If you're interested, at least 50% of the upper material is made from recycled content.
Given the soft and padded nature of the ASICS Men's GT-2000 11 cushioning, we suggest using them for slow to steady paced running. That's because soft cushioning feels great to run in when you're trying to simply bank the miles. We also recommend using the GT-2000 11 for long distance running. This is mainly down to the fact that midsole feels very protective, even after a lot of miles.
As the GT-2000 11 are stability running shoes, these are best suited to runners with greater ranges of pronation. If your feet roll in excessively, the additional support will reduce the movement and align your feet and legs. We also suggest this type of support for runners who are searching for great arch support.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
The technical features above are based on a men's US size 9 shoe.
