Underfoot Feel

The ASICS Women's Gel-Nimbus 25 running shoes are the most cushioned version to date. That's because they feature PureGEL cushioning in the heel. While this provides as much shock absorption as the previous GEL, it's 65% softer. This means you'll experience an ultra cushioned feel at landing, particularly if you're heavy on your heels.

If you're wondering, the rest of the Gel-Nimbus 25 midsole features FF BLAST PLUS ECO FOAM. This feels soft, protective and padded under your feet. Exactly what you want when you're clocking the miles. It has ECO in the name because it features 24% bio-based content.

Finally, the midsole geometry rolls your feet forward at landing. This is down to the curved midsole. In our experience, this helps take the load off the calf muscles, particular on long runs. 

Upper Fit

Expect the ASICS Gel-Nimbus 25 upper to feel light, supportive and breathable. That's because they feature a stretchy engineered knit upper that fits like a sock. The tongue and heel collar also feature a knit like construction and feel extremely comfortable.

You may like to know that at least 75% of the upper has recycled materials in it.

Ideal Run Type

Who doesn't want their long runs to feel easier? The ASICS Women's Gel-Nimbus 25 should help make the miles go by faster. That's because the ultra cushioned midsole takes the impact out of landing and rolls you forward. 

If you're mixing up your training over the course of a week and doing some speed sessions, using the Gel-Nimbus 25 for easier runs should keep your legs fresher for the faster work. We know legs can feel sore and tired after hard runs, this level of cushioning can make runs on those days feel easier. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
