Advice for Road Runners: The Asics Women's GT-1000 12 Running Shoes deliver lightweight, responsive cushioning and added stability.
From a cushioning perspective, the majority of the GT-1000 12's midsole is made of Asics' FLYTEFOAM. However, there is visible rearfoot GEL which provides a soft feeling at heel strike.
The added stability offered by the GT-1000 12, in comparison to neutral running shoes, stems from Asics' LITETRUSS technology. This technology increases medial support and midfoot integrity.
Overall, you should expect the GT-1000 12 to feel cushioned and supportive, but not overly plush and soft.
The engineered mesh upper provides breathability and feels soft against the foot. However, the upper provides stability too. The external back counter helps to stabilise the foot, meaning that the upper and the midsole contribute to the added stability provided by these running shoes.
The Asics Women's GT-1000 12 Running Shoes are for runners seeking additional stability and lightweight, responsive cushioning. They are likely to feel great when you are running at brisker or faster paces.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
