Underfoot Feel
The main update in the Brooks Women's Adrenaline 23 is the change to DNA LOFT v2 cushioning. While this should feel very similar to the previous model, it's lighter. If you've not run in the Adrenaline before, the midsole feels soft and padded.
The Adrenaline GTS 23 features the same GuideRail support system as the Adrenaline GTS 22. The markings that you can see on the side of the midsole are Brooks' holistic support system. It's unlikely that you'll feel this support, but it helps keep your knees and hips in alignment.
Upper Fit
The upper of the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 should feel light and breathable. One of the main reasons the Adrenaline is so popular is because of how it fits. Lots of runners find it comfortable across the forefoot and supportive around the ankle. If you do have broad feet, the Adrenaline GTS 23 1D is a wide-fit version.
Ideal Run Type
The holistic support in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 should reduce knee and hip rotation. For this reason, it's a great option for runners who are prone to discomfort in these areas.
We know a lot of runners have got on well with the Adrenaline GTS 22. As the only update is a lighter midsole, you should be able to transition to these in confidence.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
