Details such as the V62 signify how many iterations of the upper were made before the final design of the Alphafly 3 Proto was agreed upon. With over 300 runners involved in the development, this version should deliver the best performance to date. Not just for elites, but for any runner who has aspirations of racing faster marathons.
Underfoot Feel
The Nike Alphafly 3 Proto have the following midsole updates:
- A sculpted midsole design saves weight and enhances energy return from Zoom Air Units.
- A continuous ZoomX midsole smooths out transitions from landing to take-off.
- A wider midfoot section of carbon-fibre FlyPlate offers more support.
As a result, the Alphafly 3 Running Shoes should feel lighter, more propulsive, more comfortable, and more stable than the previous versions.
They even feature a lighter outsole rubber with more traction. This means they feel faster and you can take corners at even more speed.
Upper Fit
An updated AtomKnit 3.0 upper feels lighter and more comfortable. The soft yarns in the Nike Alphafly 3 Proto upper stretch to accommodate foot swelling. At the same time, strong containment yarns in the midfoot enhance support.
The trademark Alphafly sock-like fit ensures a consistent sensation throughout your run.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
