Advice for Road Runners: The Nike Men's Infinity RN 4 Running Shoes are for runners seeking support. The fourth edition of these popular running shoes has significant updates.
The midsole contains one of the most significant updates: ReactX foam. Nike's ReactX foam provides 13% more energy return in comparison to React foam. Therefore, providing more help to keep you moving through your run.
The outsole is curved, with the aim of helping your foot to easily transition through the gait cycle.
Support for your feet comes from a combination of tuned support and intentionally placed cushioning.
One of the most important things to highlight is that the Infinity RN 4 should provide a smooth underfoot feeling. The outsole is quite broad in places. When combined with the cushioning material and the curved midsole, it should help you to find good rhythm and forward momentum during your run.
The upper has an internal Flyknit band - providing elastic, secure support for your midfoot.
It may be fair to say that the upper feels somewhat similar to a sock. This is because the material is so soft and sits close to your foot.
Rather uniquely, the Infinity RN 4 has a water-repellent liner in the front of the toe box. Helping to keep your toes drier in wet weather.
Nike acknowledged that these have a snug fit. We recommend ordering a half-size up from your normal Nike running shoes.
The Nike Men's Infinity RN 4 Running Shoes are supportive road running shoes. Best for training runs on the road at slower to steady paces.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
