A few notes about the design of this special edition of the Pegasus 40:
- In 2003, Eliud Kipchoge delivered a record-breaking 5,000m performance while wearing Nike Zoom Miler track spikes with the white base and red stripe through the Swoosh Logo. That's where the design inspiration comes from for these Pegasus 40 running shoes.
- The left insole has a motivational message on it. The right insole notes the location and record time of his ground-breaking performance in 2003.
Underfoot Feel
Nike React foam offers lightweight, responsive cushioning. There are two Zoom Air units in the midsole; one in the heel and another in the forefoot. The Zoom Air units create spring and bounce to help you to maintain your pace.
The waffle-inspired pattern on the outsole provides traction on the road.
Upper Fit
Designed to accommodate a wide range of foot shapes. The midfoot band provides support, while the padding around the heel and engineered mesh delivers comfort for your feet.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
