Underfoot Feel
Thanks to Nike's React foam, the midsole foam in these Nike running shoes is cushioned, yet responsive. The React foam is capable of maintaining its shape, which helps to provide a consistent feeling. The responsiveness of the midsole is further enhance by the presence of two Nike Zoom Air units (one in the heel and another in the forefoot). Zoom Air units help to provide spring and energy return.
The Waffle-inspired outsole patter provides traction on concrete.
Upper Fit
Particular care has been paid to ensuring that the upper feels comfortable, breathable and forgiving in the areas where you need it the most: the toes; arch; and heel.
A midfoot band provides support. This can be particularly useful when you are running at faster paces.
Ideal Run Type
The Nike Men's Pegasus 40 Premium Road Running Shoes are best for training runs at steady paces. However, they are also a great option if you like to increase the speed during parts of your training runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
