Advice for Trail Runners: The Nike Men's Pegasus Trail 4 Trail Running Shoes are one of the best options for door to trail runs. A great combination of grip and cushioning.

Underfoot Feel

The midsole of the Pegasus Trail 4 contains Nike React foam. This is a foam that provides responsive cushioning. It will feel protective on hard ground and should provide enough firmness to help you move over softer ground.  

When it comes to grip and traction, the outsole is most suitable for light trails. The lack of aggressive grip on the outsole makes the Pegasus Trail 4 a great option if you have sections of road to run on.

Upper Fit

The upper contains Flywire technology which is integrated with a midfoot band to help support your feet. Helpfully, rubber from the outsole wraps up onto the forefoot to provide extra durability for the upper. Very useful if you scrape the upper against things such as rocks or tree roots.

Ideal Run Type

The Nike Men's Pegasus Trail 4 Trail Running Shoes are a real hybrid between road shoes and trail shoes. Very suitable for running on light trails with some sections of road at the beginning, middle and end of your run.

We don't recommend the Peg Trail for very muddy ground conditions.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
