If you are racing on the road - from a 10K to the marathon - the Vaporfly is simply one of the best carbon-fibre plated racing shoes.
A few notes about the design of this special edition of the Vaporfly 3:
Fast. When Nike released the Vaporfly 3, they did so with updated ZoomX foam. The ZoomX foam runs from heel to toe and offers an incredibly responsive underfoot feel. The inclusion of the carbon fibre plate means that the energy return from these shoes is really noticeable.
You may notice that the midsole bulges out by the heel. Part of the reason for this is the increase in stability that the design feature offers.
The outsole rubber is very thin. This means that more ZoomX foam can sit beneath your feet. Increasing the chances of comfort and performance on race day.
Flyknit yarns result in great levels of breathability and support. Exactly what you need on race day. The toe box has been designed with a roomier fit; a great feature if your feet get warm during your race.
The Nike Men's Vaporfly 3 "Eliud Kipchoge" Road Racing Shoes are - at the time of writing - one of the best race day options ever made. They are best suited to road racing for distances ranging from the 10K to the marathon.
We do recommend keeping your Vaporflys for race day, although using them on a few training runs is a good idea - allowing you to get used to them.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
