Underfoot Feel
The Vaporfly 3 feels fast and propulsive. This performance comes from the combination of ZoomX foam and a carbon fibre plate.
ZoomX foam is soft, incredibly light and it returns a lot of energy. However, the ZoomX foam in the Vaporfly 3 is designed to provide more energy return than before.
The carbon fibre plate creates a lot of stiffness, helping the propulsive feel. It does not work alone though. It is the combination of the foam and the plate that is so effective.
When it comes to stability, this is helped by the fact that the midsole bulges out by the heel. A more stable platform means you can land on the ground and push off with more confidence.
The outsole rubber with a waffle pattern keeps weight down, allows more ZoomX foam to be placed underneath your feet, and provides traction where it is most needed.
Upper Fit
The Nike Flyknit yarns provide a soft, close fitting and supportive upper. The mesh sits close to your feet, but it does not feel intrusive. The upper is highly breathable. Exactly what you need from your racing shoes.
Ideal Run Type
The Nike Men's Vaporfly 3 Road Racing Shoes are best for road racing. They designed to be best for distances ranging from 10K to the marathon.
While we recommend keeping these carbon fibre plated running shoes for race-day, it makes sense to get used to them prior to race-day. Therefore, it would be a good idea to use them for some faster training sessions.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
