A few notes about the design of this special edition of the Zoom Fly 5:

• In 2003, Eliud Kipchoge delivered a record-breaking 5,000m performance while wearing Nike Zoom Miler track spikes with the white base and red stripe through the Swoosh Logo. That's where the design inspiration comes from for these Zoom Fly 5 running shoes.
• The left insole has a motivational message on it. The right insole notes the location and record time of his ground-breaking performance in 2003.

Underfoot Feel

Stable and propulsive would be a good summary. The midsole contains ZoomX foam, which is wrapped in a carrier foam for extra durability. ZoomX foam is incredibly light and returns a lot of energy. 

It's not all about the foam though. A full-length carbon fibre articulated plate helps to return a lot of energy and propel you forward. 

You should notice that the construction of the heel and forefoot has resulted in a wide base. This wide base help to increase stability. Although, for the avoidance of doubt, these are neutral running shoes.

Ideal Run Type

Some runners may use these for race day too, although you may prefer the Vaporfly or Alphafly for races. It's not unknown for the Zoom Fly to be used as daily mileage shoes, due to the propulsive feeling that they offer.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
