Advice for Road Runners: The Nike Men's Zoom Fly 5 Road Running Shoes bridge the gap between daily running shoes and racing shoes. They provide cushioning and energy return, and are suitable for a range of paces.
The Zoom Fly 5 will feel best when you are running at your faster paces. That is due to the ZoomX foam - which is lightweight and responsive, and the carbon fibre plate. The combination of ZoomX foam and a carbon fibre plate helps you to maintain your faster speeds.
Please note that the ZoomX foam is contained within a carrier foam. This is for durability reasons.
These are neutral running shoes. However, there is a significant amount of outsole and midsole width at the heel and forefoot. This helps to create a stable platform to land and push off from.
A midfoot wrap provides support where you most need it. The mesh is lightweight and very breathable. Exactly what you need for faster training sessions.
The Nike Men's Zoom Fly 5 Road Running Shoes are best suited to faster training sessions at your faster paces. However, as there's still a significant amount of cushioning in these Nike running shoes, you may find them comfortable at slower paces too.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
