Advice for Road Runners: The Saucony Endorphin Elite Road Racing Shoes offer maximum propulsion for long distance racing, such as half-marathons and marathons.
In case you're wondering, these are the most energy returning model in Saucony's Endorphin Running Shoes line-up.
The Saucony Endorphin Elite feature a thick layer of PWRRUN HG foam - Saucony's highest energy returning midsole foam. As a result, the midsole should feel very bouncy.
Even though the midsole is very responsive, it should feel really protective. This is likely to translate into better comfort levels throughout your run.
The prominent heel-to-toe curve is named SPEEDROLL technology. The purpose of this is simple, to tip you forward sooner so you can maintain your pace for longer.
A full-length carbon fibre plate enhances energy return and propulsion. However, a slotted fork design means that it should better adapt to your individual biomechanics.
The upper of the Saucony Endorphin Elite Running Shoes feel very lightweight. This is because it's been meticulously crafted to only provide support in the areas where it's needed most.
It's important to state that the upper technology offers ample support for long distance racing.
We recommend using the Saucony Men's Endorphin Elite Running Shoes when you're sole objective is to run as fast as possible.
Building on this point, many runners lose sight of their target time in the final stages of a marathon. The level of protection and propulsion on offer in the Endorphin Elite might help you feel stronger towards the end - which could be the difference between you achieving the time you're chasing or not.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
