Read the articleRunners regularly ask us what to wear when running a marathon, and though the answer to that question is very much dependent on the weather and your running goal, there are some non-negotiables in the kit department. Running shoes with the right level of support and cushioning for you are top of the list. Followed by technical clothing made from breathable, moisture-wicking materials that will keep your body cool and dry in summer and warm in winter.
Twin (or 2 in 1) shorts are particularly popular for marathon training as they prevent chafing over longer distances and allow you to carry gels. Breathable t-shirts paired with shorts are ideal for training and racing in warm weather conditions. While leggings, long-sleeve tops and running jackets are wardrobe staples for winter training - allowing you to train in comfort in cold, windy and wet weather conditions.
When it comes to tech and accessories, we stock a range of products to support your performance and recovery from Garmin GPS running watches and Shokz running headphones, to running belts and waistpacks, to nutrition products and anti-chafe balm. If you need help finding a particular item, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help you!
