Advice for Road Runners: The Nike Men's Zoom Fly 5 Road Running Shoes are incredibly versatile. They can be a great option for race day and faster training runs.
The Zoom Fly 5 offers a high energy underfoot feel. ZoomX foam - which is wrapped in a carrier foam - is very light and soft, but returns significant amount of energy. A carbon fibre plate produces a very responsive running sensation. The firmness of the carbon fibre plate is noticeable. However, the underfoot cushioning is still substantial.
Nike designed the forefoot and heel so that both sections have a wide base. The wide base creates stability and should give you confidence when you are changing direction.
The upper is soft and will accommodate a range of different foot shapes. The dynamic lace-up system means that it is easy to adjust the fit so that it fits the shape of your feet.
The main benefit of the Nike Men's Zoom Fly 5 Road Running Shoes is that they may help you to run faster on race day. However, their design means that they will cope with - and be suitable for - faster training sessions. If you race in Vaporflys or Alphaflys, you may really like the Zoom Fly for a lot of your training runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
